Bachelor of Science in Ornamental Horticulture, University of Arkansas, 1977, and Masters of Landscape Architecture, Louisiana State University, 1982

Experience

  • Started Newton Landscape Group in 1990
  • Licensed landscape architect, landscape horticulturist, state contractor and ornamental and turf pesticide applicator in the state of Louisiana
  • Member of American Society of Landscape Architects
  • Member of Louisiana Nursery and Landscape Association
  • Member of Baton Rouge Landscape Association
  • Site Committee Chairman of the Hilltop Arboretum
  • Has been married to his wife, Carol, for 39 wonderful years
  • Has two sons: Greyson, a firefighter for St. George and member of Newton Landscape Group in his off-time, and Garrett, a landscape architect at Reed Hilderbrand in Boston
